I am always involved in new learning. I thoroughly enjoy reading an instructional book. I have learned much as I read. It has allowed me to fine tune my thoughts and ideas. Who knows, the answer you have been looking for may be opened to you in the first few or last few pages of a good book.

ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life by Judith Kolberg and Kathleen Nadeau, Ph.D. – Kolberg is an icon and Nadeau is famed ADD researcher and expert. Together, they’ve developed a comprehensive guide.

Conquering Chronic Disorganization by Judith Kolberg

Bar none, this is the best book available for understanding what it means to be “chronically disorganized”. Chronic Disorganization is entirely different from the everyday situational disorganization most people face.

Driven to Distraction: Recognizing & Coping with Attention Deficit Disorder from Childhood through Adulthood by Edward Hallowell and John J. Ratey

This book is a classic – a study of attention deficit disorder written by two doctors who actually have ADD themselves. A great place to start understanding the “Why” so you can start working on the “How”.

Organize for Disaster: Prepare your Family and your Home for any Natural or Unnatural Disaster by Judith Kolberg

Strategizing and systemizing your disaster preparations are focused on here.

Making a Good Brain Great by Daniel G. Amen

Dr. Amen expresses the importance of brain awareness. Throughout the book, he cites many studies which back his information.

Organizing for the Creative Person: Right-Brain Styles for Conquering Clutter, Mastering Time, and Reaching Your Goals. by Dorothy Lehmkuhl

Almost everyone wants to live an organized life, yet that dream is often elusive for those who are creative minded. This book does a good job of helping these people understand the why’s and the how to’s.

Marla walks us through her organizing formulas step by step. Clutter control and freedom from guilt are focused on.

Organizing from the Inside Out by Julie Morgenstern

One of the 1st organizing books I purchased. It contains practical and timeless advice.

30 days to a Simpler Life by Connie Cox and Cris Evatt

The authors suggest you invest 15 minutes a day to bring about a better life.

ORGANIZING YOUR BUSINESS OFFICE

Never check Email in the Morning by Julie Morgenstern

Julie offers up the tried-and-true secrets for eliminating the interruptions. She focuses on the tasks that yield productivity including systems and delegation.

Getting Organized: Improving Focus, Organization and Productivity by Chris Crouch

One of my personal favorites. Chris suggests that if you want to stay highly organized, you think in terms of habit-based solutions as opposed to gadget-based ones.

Organized for Success by Stephanie Winston

Author Winston (The CEO of Estee Lauder) does a good job in giving us several organizing solutions to choose from. She does not advocate or lock in to just a single solution. E.g. From PDAs to Index cards in the front pocket…what works best for a particular individual is advocated.

ORGANIZING YOUR TIME

Time Management from the Inside out by Julie Morgenstern

Julie is one of my favorite organizing experts. This book is based on her basic organizing SPACE formula.  She focuses on scheduling and prioritizing.

Based on the type of procrastination Linda provides practical &”how to” steps to change perspective and achieve high priority goals.
