SHOULDN’T I BE ABLE TO DO THIS MYSELF?
• A professional organizer is comparable to a personal trainer. Everyone can exercise, however, do we? Would it make a difference to us if we knew that someone could come in and analyze our typical workout and inform us how to maximize the end result so we could easily glide through future workouts? Organizing Mind over Matter’s clients are those who either are quite organized, but would like to tighten their systems to work a little smarter and faster OR those who want to be organized, but are not because 1) they were never trained to fully understand organizing fundamentals (2 they do not have well designed, long term systems to help maintain their spaces or 3) they have gone through something dramatic and have come through it ready to bring order and simplicity to their current lives.
SHOULD PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZERS BELONG TO A MEMBER ORGANIZATION?
• Yes, the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) adheres to strict standards of professional conduct and professionalism as prescribed in the organizations Code of Ethics. It is a non-profit professional association. Organizing Mind over Matter is a member of NAPO and Vicki is a founding officer of the Utah chapter.
HOW DOES A PROFESSSIONAL ORGANIZER CHARGE FOR THEIR SERVICES?
• The organizer and client will discuss the client’s needs over the phone, then follow up with an assessment meeting where the organizer can assess the project and meet the client. Most of the time the organizer can give an estimate of the time it will take to accomplish the project charging by the hour, but in some cases the Organizer may charge a flat fee.
