What to do with the “stuff” you no longer want or need
There comes a time when we realize the things that were useful to us in the past are no longer necessary. To determine your current item needs, ask yourself a few questions:
-
Is this something I love?
-
Is this serving me in my life today?
-
Where is this going to go?
When in doubt, throw it out!
There are a few things you can do with those items you no longer value:
-
Donate – Peter Walsh calls it “Karmic Cash” We like this term.
-

-

-

Be careful about where and how you dispose of hazardous waste which is defined as any product that is discarded from a home or similar source that contains volatile chemicals that are flammable, corrosive, explosive, toxic or radioactive. They need to be used, stored and disposed of properly so no harm will be done to our environment or the environment of future generations. Visit earth911 to learn more about disposal of hazardous waste and where to dispose of it in your area of the country. See the various types of waste in the top 1/3 of the page.
When uncluttering, help yourself and others by donating, selling or tossing the items you no longer love. This is very freeing and allows you to better use those things you DO VALUE in our current life.
